Celebrating Vicci Livingstone-Thompson: A Dedication to Inclusion

January 29, 2025

At Active Impact, we are delighted to celebrate the well-deserved recognition of our longest-serving Trustee, Vicci Livingstone-Thompson, who has been awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the King’s New Year Honours List 2025. This accolade is a testament to her unwavering dedication and tireless efforts to drive positive change for disabled people across the county.

Vicci embodies Active Impact’s philosophy —  Her leadership and commitment to breaking down barriers resonate deeply with our mission to foster environments where everyone can enjoy fun, challenge, and friendships.

We are incredibly grateful to have Vicci on our Board of Trustees. Her experience and passion, combined with others, drive us to work collaboratively with our partners, ensuring the voices of disabled individuals are not only heard but celebrated.

Our CEO, Nicole Hastie, share’s her own reflections and congratulations here:

“As our longest standing Trustee, Vicci has always supported Active Impact’s strategic vision through her guidance and innovative approach to inclusive practice. Vicci has provided valuable insights, from both her professional leadership experience as a CEO and lived experience as a disabled woman, to Active Impact, as part of her wider commitment to improving the quality of life of disabled people in Gloucestershire. We are honoured to join her colleagues from Inclusion Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire NHS Foundation Trust in celebrating the well-deserved recognition of Vicci’s profound impact as a local disabled leader, through this award.”

Please join us in congratulating Vicci on this significant achievement. We look forward to continuing this important work together.
